What should I expect during my first visit?
During your initial visit, we aim to understand the underlying reasons behind your wound and why it might not be healing. We will:
Discuss your personal and family medical history.
Conduct a thorough examination of you and your wound.
Talk about your healing goals.
Consider any additional procedures that might speed up your healing process.
Review advanced treatment options.
Create a personalized care plan for you.
Educate you on home wound care.
Coordinate with your skilled Home Health Care or Hospice agency for dressing changes and order necessary supplies.
How does Healix communicate with other doctors and healthcare companies?
Our Advanced Practice Providers and care teams use the Cleveland Clinic’s MyChart system for documentation. Patients can use MyChart to view their appointments, ask questions, request medication refills, and view test results. Other healthcare providers (such as your Primary Care Provider) can also access our documentation through MyChart.
